Braniff's first 707s, delivered in 1959, featured JT4A engines to
better serve "hot and high" destinations. The airline never
missed an opportunity to tout its 707s' "BIG engines," and said as much
on the certificates given to passengers on its El Dorado Jet Service.
Oddly enough, the 707-227 that was featured so prominently in Braniff's
early 707 promotions (and is shown on this certificate presented in
1960), N7071, crashed just before it was to be turned over to Braniff.
