Ozark DC-9
Those familiar with old Kansas City Municipal (MKC) will immediately recognize the background and will not need to be told that this was not shot at the new Kansas City International airport.  At this time the only activity at MCI was TWA heavy maintenance and some training. Other cities bragged about their "close in" airports, but MKC truly was.  Not much more than a mile from town to terminal.

Shifting our attention to the foreground, N972Z, DC-9-15 number three for Ozark was shiny and new.  The Convairs, Martins and Fairchild F27s were gone, and FH-227s made up the bulk of the fleet at this moment in time.  The future was clearly in the hands of the DC-9 though.
