United Convair 340 taxiing at LAX amid a
collection of other aircraft of its day. United moved its fleet
of Convairs to California to fly (mostly) West Coast schedules during
the early sixties, probably being displaced from eastern routes by
an abundance of Viscount 700s inherited in the takeover of Capital in
1960, so this CV-340 looks right at home in this setting.
